Developer Fitness Challenge Day 9 (Part 2!)

As promised, here's a quick post on the second half of day 9. A little less important than me getting the randomization engine running, but it was fun to take a break working on this when I got frustrated towards the end of day 8, rolling in to the next day.


I finally started putting some thought in to the aesthetic of the game. While other skins may be an option down the line, I had to think of something that could really define the game as a default. I want it to just project fun in to the room.

After some thought, and some recent experience with my last app (Totally Rad Wakeboard Grab Guide), I decided to at least start working towards the feel of early 90's/gameshow. How can you deny this? Just look at the colors!!!

The trick is going to be making all of these crazy patterns look great and not be too confusing. Kind of a beautifully organized mess. It will be a little tricky but I'm really digging it! This coupled with some simple animations should really bring the game to life even though it's secondary to the face-to-face interaction the game is supposed to bring.

Exercise: Weight Lifting
Weight: 224 (Found a scale in the hotel gym!)
Calories: 2603 (way over! Went to a wedding this day, so indulged a bit)
